Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

English: The living visits the dead

yesterday we went to the cemetery! my mom and brothers got there real early to assemble the tent for the whole mother side clan (I don't know much about my relatives from the father side of the family...)

The tent was real big!! super big in fact! and just us three assembled it wheee~! the night before...my mom looked like she was preparing lunches for a grade schooler's field trip hahah! well...my oldest bro is 32 years old and my second oldest bro is 28...and i'm 19?! haha! talk about a concerned mom hahah! that's a good thing about my mom...she always prepare lunches when she knows that the four of us will travel together no matter how near or far hahahaha!

my 32 year old bro doesn't look his age anyway...believe it or not he still scores chicks my age! it's ewe...but good for him...then he tells them "I'm not really 20...i'm actually 25" then the girl says "you've got to be kidding me!! you're just 22!!" hahahahahah!!!!!!! sucks for them haha! my other bro is the same! he's 28 but...errr...he doesn't act 28...hahaha! that's why i like em both so much!

we have this quality sibling time every once in a while! we grill some chicken, drink and stuff...we just reminisce about when they were young...when i was young...how they changed my diaper and shit when i was a baby...haha funny childhood stories. well...we always have quality time when marathoning movies and anime...so yeah...always quality time hahaha

anyways...back to the tent...it was a lot of fun assembling it! haha! sorry dead people...i was supposed to talk about you...sorry
